I have a passion for cooking. I am proud of it. Not all people can cook or maybe they are just lazy to cook. I got my cooking skills both from my father and mother. I have cooked a lot of Filipino dish and my friends tried it and they are all satisfied. I can even make an easy dish too. When I got married, I was even more challenged because I married a foreigner with different cultures and tradition and of course, different taste buds for the Filipino dish. Luckily, he wasn’t picky when I cook just about anything except for fish. He doesn’t eat fish. He can eat tilapia, catfish, grouper (lapu-lapu), salmon and tuna but not any other kind of fish. We only eat fish if we are craving for it unlike in the Philippines, I grew up eating fish all my life. My mom would always buy fresh fish because its most likely cheaper than any other kind of meat.
Our dinner for tonight is something special. Why? Because I am cooking my husband’s favorite Filipino dish – Sinigang na Baboy. He calls it sour pork. He loves that dish and I always get a lovely kiss from him whenever his stomach is satisfied. He always thank me for cooking something extraordinary and I love it when he appreciates whatever I prepare and serve in the table. I can say all my hard work in cooking is paid off because I can see and feel that my husband is really satisfied.

Today, I got a mail from a good friend. I just met her few weeks ago from the picnic party where both of us were invited. She was the one who made it comfortable for me since I am only new meeting other people in that picnic party. We exchanged phone calls since then. She even invited me and my husband for a cool halo-halo break in her place as the summer’s getting hotter. She’s pregnant to a baby boy and she’ll having a baby shower 10 days from today. It was such an honor to be invited and be a part of a baby shower as I never experienced any kind of this event in my life – it’s true! This will be my first baby shower.
Luckily, we went to Wal-Mart earlier because we need to change the oil from my husband’s truck. While we were at Wal-Mart, I decided to shop for her baby boy’s clothes as a gift. This time, it wasn’t my first time to shop for baby clothes as I have been giving baby and toddler’s clothes back home as some of my classmates and friends got pregnant. Whenever there’s a birthday party for their kids, I never wanted to give them toys. I gave them clothes instead. As I went on choosing the nicest clothes, I didn’t notice that I already got a handful of clothes on my hand and I couldn’t manage to carry them at all. I guess, I enjoyed and got excited shopping baby clothes. I am sure, it’s gonna be a lot of fun on her baby shower. I can’t wait anymore!

Last night, I have the chance to finish my 3 tasks and posted the opportunity I got from both websites to earn monetary reward. I went to bed at almost 3 AM. My husband was tossing and turning all night in bed while his waiting for me. He could not hardly sleep without me in bed and on his side – how sweet! He’s used to it, he doesn’t want me to stay up all night facing my computer 24/7 and be addicted to it. He was telling me that he doesn’t want anyone or anything that would come between us.
There were few showers last night. Again, the vegetable garden and the trees are growing good because of the rain for the past few days and last night. I didn’t see any rays from the sun. I started packing some of our things so I will not ran out of time when its time for us to move. I cleaned my car, clean the house and do the dishes. My husband cooked lunch for us today. We had corns, cabbage, green beans, cucumber, bell pepper and tomatoes freshly harvested from our vegetable garden. It was a fresh and delicious meal for the three of us (including Tyler, Winn’s grandson). After our lunch, we gathered in the living room and watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Again, I shed tears as I was watching the last part. I can’t wait for the next new movie series to be released.
